Most of the music that I purchased in the 60s & 70s was either heavy rock (Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin etc) or folk-rock (Fairport Convention, Strawbs, Pentangle etc) but I did buy this album of Simon and Garfunkle.
My Chemical Romance "The Black Parade". I had put off listening to this album for a very long time. I had disregarded it as pointless scene music of the day, and I had never been more wrong. This is such a masterpiece in musicianship and storytelling.
record stores... - one thing that makes me sad for people who are a lot younger is that they largely missed out on the record store. I used to hit all of them and comb for jems, and downloading from itunes isn't the same experience.
