The replica of the famous necklace of Empress Maria, mother to Nikolay II of Russia. She wore this necklace on some of her portraits. After the Revolution of 1917 Maria managed to take the necklace to Denmark. In 1931 the necklace was bought by the Queen of England.

Ametrine is the trade name given to an unusual variety of quartz that exhibits the colors of amethyst and citrine side by side. However, here the flashes of purple, yellow, and pink, although not side by side are still probably enough to assume the appellation.
