Scioto Trail State Forest maintains 26 miles of bridle trails for day use by horseback riders and hikers. Mountain bikes are also permitted on these trails. Six miles of paved roads and 18 miles of gravel roads provide good access to all areas of the forest. Scenic vistas attract many visitors, especially during the fall. Populations of deer, wild turkey, squirrel and grouse provide good hunting. Mushroom hunting in the spring is also a great option!
Blackwater Creek in Seminole State Forest is a 19-mile long riverine in Eustis, Florida. The launch point in Seminole State Forest makes for an easy way to access the river for canoeing, kayaking, and SUP.
The Michaux State Forest is located in Adams, Cumberland and Franklin counties. It is named in honor of Andre Michaux, a French botanist, dispatched by the King and Queen of France in 1785 to gather plants for the Royal Gardens.
Jewel Box, Lake Powell, Utah. Lake Powell is a reservoir on the Colorado River, straddling the border between Utah and Arizona (most of it, along with Rainbow Bridge, is in Utah). Exploring the area is great travel fun!
