Beautiful marble top small serpentine fronted cabinet, with a burr walnut middle panel that's smothered with marquetry of many different woods. I think the main wood on the carcass is either walnut or Kingwood, with inlay too & it also has well cast gilt metal mounts. This piece is in good condition throughout, including the marble top & it has just been French polished.
Very impressive figured walnut antique Victorian cabinet with wonderful marquetry & fine inlays all over. It also has the original gilt mounts on top of the sides. This cabinet is in lovely condition having just been French Polished & it has a working lock & key. The top is also inlaid & it has a shaped out plinth. The floral marquetry on the piece is stunning & all original.
Very impressive marble top cabinet with amazing gilt mounts all over. It's antique French style & I would say it dates to around the 1930-50's period. The gilt mounts are stunning & the quality of the castings is very good. The panels in the centre of the doors look like solid bronze & they are spectacular. The wood is mainly Kingwood, Rosewood & Mahogany, with some inlaid woods in places. The marble top is in perfect condition & a lovely colour.
images antique record players - Google Search There was one similiar to this left at the farmhouse at Concord. It had one record on it, "step it up and go," and we played it over and over and over...running to turn the handle on the side as we heard the record voice running down....so much fun! about 1943-4
