Ben Webster Quintet – Soulville (1957): My son, Zeb, introduced me to this terrific well respected tenor saxophone player via this fabulous mainstream jazz album. All 10 tracks are great: Soulville*Late Date*Time On My Hands*Lover, Come Back To Me*Where Are You?*Makin’ Whoopee*Ill Wind. The last three tracks (Who?*Boogie-Woogie*Roses of Picardy) are the only recordings of Webster’s impressive piano skills. I enjoyed this album very much on YouTube today, 6/25/2015. Rating: 98%.
