St. Ives, Cornwall - A view of the entrance to Fore Steet. Devoid of cars, but even then the street was narrow enough to cause congestion with horse drawn transport. From the costume it would appear to have been taken in the Edwardian era or just before WWI.
War Horse -- The horse - nicknamed The Sikh - was one of the one million horses sent to battle during the First World War. The animal (pictured with Lt. Vicary) dodged shellfire and grenades as it delivered supplies to bloodied troops
