Made the drip tubing (goes from on pot to one below) w small holes along the coiled tubing so can wet entire surface area getting to each plant. See other pic. Also used a water pump on timer so enough water can go trough coiled holed tubing through each hole.

How to store water: Water storage is THE MOST important preparation we can make. Definitely food is important, but we need water to cook that food, water to drink, clean, and to grow our food.

3/9/12 1:29am stevia that was not liking the drip from the original windowfarm design. Once modified the drip to go down a tube instead and took the top off the plastic bottle, the stevia decided to grow again. It was planted from seed in the windowfarm on 2/21

Black fuzzy thing is the pipe cleaner holding the bottle onto the chain. Untwist and can take a plant offline anywhere in the system!

Building a semi-hydroponics system w rapid rooter and water beads (colors to match guinea pig decor). This will house 26 pots full of gourmet lettuce parsley and cilantro for the guinea pigs (11of them!). I'm sure it won't sustain them but its still neat and they prefer home grown stuff. It will be watered w filtered tap water (my hydro system actually prefers this over hydroponic solution / RO water). Ill water as needed like regular plants

3/13/12 the chamomile really likes its newly covered pot lol! I never had chamomile grow this nice in a deep water culture. This is my first chamomile (really first ever plants Ceot for basil) that I ever grew inc dirt wise as I never grew anything in dirt before. Hydroponics is my first attempt as growing anything really
