Side Trip in Rural Kansas - Santa Fe local freight #162 pauses at Eskridge, Kansas, on October 9, 1968. Eskridge was on the Alma branch, which connected with the Topeka-Emporia main line at Burlingame. The Kansas City-Topeka-Emporia local made a trip up the branch once a week and is shown on the reverse trip en route to Burlingame. The branch was abandoned shortly thereafter.  Taken on October 9, 1968.
