Following her death near Baynard’s Castle, London, three days earlier, Elizabeth Boleyn (née Howard), Countess of Wiltshire and mother of the late Queen Anne Boleyn, was buried at St Mary’s Church, Lambeth, just next to Lambeth Palace, on 7th April 1538. 16th Century renaissance suit, from red and gold velvet, slashed and lined with gold silk jacquard. Suit consists of a doublet with detachable sleeves with leather cuffs and collar, trunk hose, cloak, chemise with redwork embro and bonnet (not in picture). Costume maker: Angela Mombers.
