New Orleans School of Cooking. This was fabulous. Our Chef Pat, taught to cook Gumbo, Jumbalya, Banannas Foster and Pralines. We ate the food she cooked. She gave a colorful history of NOLA and the foods.
One of the most historical stops in the French Quarter is the Old Absinthe House, a landmark on the corner of Bourbon and Bienville. The bar was named the Absinthe Room when drinking absinthe grew in popularity in New Orleans.
