The generous folks at K-Con throw an annual Thanksgiving dinner buffet and prize giveaway for CYDC youth and staff on the Monday before Thanksgiving. This year they fried up nearly 40 turkeys and smoked 10! That's a lot of good gobble, gobble to go 'round!

Cummins, Inc. volunteers came to campus on March 13, 2015 as part of their quarterly volunteer service project. They did lanscaping, helped put up window treatments in our rec center and even assisted with our front desk reception area.

The Gamma Xi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority donated toys for our kids on Dec. 22, in what has been an unbelievable outpouring of support from thoughtful groups and individuals in the community this Christmas. It was cold, wet and dreary on Monday, but people like these kind folks from Alpha Kappa Alpha still came in droves. We are so grateful to Just Dance/Charleston Dance Center and Southwest-Charleston, and to all the families who chipped in to buy all these wonderful Christmas gifts and holiday stockings stuffed with goodies for needy families in our Strengthening Families program. Some kids from Just Dance, many of whom are students at the School of the Arts, even donated their allowance money to the cause or held fundraisers! Youth helping youth! #seasonofgiving
