One of my favorite haunted spots in Illinois is a place called Hickory Hill, or THE OLD SLAVE HOUSE, in Southern Illinois. It is located near Equality and Junction, just a few miles away from Harrisburg, Illinois. Although the house closed to the public in 1996, and has been endangered for several years, it was later purchased by the state of Illinois with plans to turn it into a historic site. B.D High School It was located on Main Street where Mid-Town Plaza Shopping Center is. Down the left side there are three sections Middle section (just beyond doorway on the ground floor) was the original Western Kentucky Seminary building.The rear section and front section were added in 1928. The building in the photo was the Beaver Dam High School until around 1955-56 when the high school moved to Hwy 62. This building was then Beaver Dam Elementary School moved to the building on Hwy 62.
