Katharine Hepburn (May 12, 1907 – June 29, 2003) was an American actress of film, stage, and television. Known for her headstrong independence and spirited personality, Hepburn's career as a Hollywood leading lady spanned more than 60 years. A 26-year affair with her co-star Spencer Tracy was hidden from the public. In May 2003, an aggressive tumor was found in Hepburn's neck. The decision was made not to medically intervene, and she died at the age of 96.
Vincent Van Gogh was a Dutch Post-Impressionist painter, who was born on March 30, 1853. His artwork had a great influence on all the art in the 20th century. Although he sold just one painting while he was alive, he achieved fame and name a few years after his death. Today, Van Gogh and his artwork are considered to be basis of modern art.
