Great border idea.  I wonder how it would look with jelly roll fabrics alternating lights and darks.

The ribbon border is delightful. It is simple, elegant and quite consistent with Visual straight lines at spacing and feathers. The narrow borders are not yet ditched, nor are the logs.in due time.

Not sure how this was made. But I think if you made a log cabin block and then a faux cathedral window, that might work.

Share your blocks as part of the "Curve it up" QAL, using the Quick Curve Ruler (QCR). You can share anything from what fabric you plan on using and of course each block as you complete them.
