1 Dec. 2013 - Another productive Sunday at Peace Temple Community Garden. Sheet mulched 1/3 of the peace sign, turned and added to the compost pile and planted organic non-gmo rye. Thanks Karin and Barbara!

20 Feb 2014 - Thank you Monica & Sunridge Farms for the cardboard donation! I was able to complete the Peace Sign and have a few left over for gardeners. Unfortunatley a storm blew thew and my cardboard flew everywhere. I've collected it all since and have it piled up for when I get more soil to expand the peace garden. The rye at this point is about ready to turn into the soil.
Ladybug in the community garden peace sign, growing is organic non-gmo rye (it has now been turned into the soil and we have flower seeds planted there for spring). I ♥ my garden. It spans nearly an acre, I have 40 20' x 20' plots (based off the Portland, OR model a plot that size will feed a family of 4) total with 4 leased so far. I started Peace Temple Community Garden in October 2013.
