This 2.1 inch long Hell Gap knife form was made from a caramel-colored jasper and was a surface find from Sedgwick County, Colorado.   Based on radiocarbon dates from various High Plains archaeological sites, ten thousand years old appears to be a good average age for the Hell Gap Complex.  John Branney Collection.
