Lacul Bucura  Cunoscut ca fiind cel mai mare lac glaciar de pe teritoriul tarii noastre, cu o suprafata de 8,90 ha, Lacul Bucura este situat in Muntii Retezat, cu exactitate in Parcul National Retezat, la o altitudine de 2040 m. Cu toate ca impresioneaza prin suprafata lui extraordinara, Lacul Bucura nu este un lac deosebit de adanc, masurand aproximativ 15,5 m. in dreptul intrarii Izvorului Pelegii in lac, acesta nefiind singurul izvor ce alimenteaza lacul.
