The Secretarybird has traditionally been admired in Africa for its striking appearance and ability to deal with pests and snakes. Africans sometimes call it the Devil's Horse. Carrying baby Welsh fashion - A photo believed to have been taken in Penallta by James Jarche, who took photos of Penallta Mine in the 1930s. He is one of Britain's most illustrious yet now forgotten photographers James Jarche (1891-1965) (...) some of his most moving and iconic photographs were taken in the Valleys of South Wales in the early 1930s. One picture features a Welsh family- a miner and his young son who also works down the pit- standing in their back garden holding twin babies.
