Add Extra Inches With Lace | Inspiration & Realisation  There’s nothing worse than too-short shirts. But this is a perfect solution: add lace to the bottom of the shirt! It doesn’t take a lot of sewing skill to be able to add it on, and lace is relatively cheap. And doesn’t it look really pretty?! Double bonus!

I used this tutorial and made it 9-3-11.  I am not as or anywhere near as small as she is...so mine is longer.  It took me right at 2 hours, but next one should take only 1 hour.  I did use the jersey knit so I didn't have to hem.  2 thumbs up!!!

DIY Summer Maxi Skirt Tutorial. Uses a thrift store [ or back of closet] dress with great fabric, awful style. I'd put some elastic into the waist instead of a tie. Or, make a yoga waistband fold over.
