The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis, illustrated by Pauline Baynes

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe-The book that ignited my passion for stories. A childhood classic.

Skiddaw, Derwent, England. my highest mountain climb ever

Horse Tunnel Market - Camden, London. Part of The Return of the Witch is set here in the ancient tunnels beneath the city streets. (Repinned from Maroba)

The cliffs above the beach are a noted source of fossils from the Jurassic period. Fossil-hunters walk the beaches between Lyme Regis and Charmouth, but have to be wary of tides and landslips. The Dorset and East Devon Coast World Heritage Site covers 3 geological time periods; the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous. These are showcased in the 3 rock types found along the coast.

And why not? Lush and colorful perennials can be used in a front don't always have to use evergreen shrubs. And an arbor can add lots of charm.

Several massive pots (perhaps made of hypertufa) spilling flowers across the yard.

I want bleeding hearts for my new place. I had them at the side of my first house, and they were so nice!
