One of the last times we went to Lisbon we stayed in an apartment with a terrace opposite this building. The whole façade is great, but hard to shoot as the street is narrow. From above however, the roof was in plain sight in all its glory. In Porto skylights are of conical shape everywhere, but here we can see the more typical Lisbon skylight which looks like a little doll house on top of the house proper when seen from the outside.
Simple elements and great faded colors. The windows have gothick arched transoms (the door does too, behind the fanlight) and mid-height exterior louvered shutters, the latter so typical of Lisbon’s ground floor apartments. Lisboa, Rua das Praças.
