LET'S TALK ABOUT IT: Making Sense of the American Civil War A series of 5 scholar led discussions will take place at the Germantown Campus Library of Montgomery College beginning Tuesday, February 21st, 2012 and running through April 17th. All are invited to attend. Students, faculty, staff, and community members are welcome.
The Misericordia University Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society is hosting the third annual poetry benefit auction, "The Wonder of Words,'' on Tuesday, April 19 from 7-9:30 p.m. in the McGowan Room of the Mary Kintz Bevevino Library. All proceeds from the event will benefit the scholastic book fund that will enable students in the Wilkes-Barre Area School District to purchase books at book fairs. The event is open free to the public.
Students will learn how to create and customize blogs in order to post text, images, video, and more to a web site. The class will explore the features of several popular blogging sites, including WordPress, as well as how to search for and link to other people's blogs. Class prerequisites: Internet experience, mastery of mouse handling, valid e-mail account.
