Arden of Feversham (title page from 1st quarto) | "Arden of Faversham is an Elizabethan play, entered into the Register of the Stationers Company on 4/3/1592, & printed by Edward White. It depicts the murder of Thomas Arden by his wife Alice Arden & her lover, & their subsequent discovery & punishment. The play is notable as perhaps the earliest surviving example of domestic tragedy, a form of Renaissance play which dramatized recent & local crimes rather than far-off & historical events."

Crisp, clean, classic 1930s fireplace with a strongly vertical appearance. Wish the fire were on the hearth rather than in a stove, but I love seeing it still used.
