A RARE SPANISH EAR DAGGER Of characteristic form, the finely-fluted horn grips retained by copper rivets with large, splayed, circular terminals. The straight, double-edged blade with flat, offset ricasso and central ridge, wrought of finely pattern-welded damascus steel. 17th century or later. Dark patina overall. This form of dagger was originally popularized by the Nasrids of Andalusia in the latter 15th century Overall length 37 cm.
