The 13th Century Church of Saint Michael De Rupe stands at the top of a steep hill at the edge of Dartmoor National Park in Devon. The hill it stands on, Brent Tor, is formed of lava, rather than the typical granite base of most of Dartmoor. The church is the smallest on Dartmoor measuring 15 feet (4.6 m) wide and 37 feet (11 m) long. The tower is 40 feet (12 m) high and houses five bells.
