This beautiful little stone cottage [www.naturalhomes.org/leanach.htm] is Leanach Farmhouse in Culloden, Scotland. It has a rich history that included being used as a field hospital during the Battle of Culloden in 1746. Many centuries later the cottage now has a new red thatch made from heather. The cottage is loved and cared for by the National Trust using only natural materials.

There is something oddly appealing and cozy about a tartan chair (<3 the tiny radio and pussywillows too). I would add a leather ottoman and change the pillows to something softer, maybe floral instead of checks or stripes?

Pottery at Emma Bridgewater | So pretty, definitely would love to have a display like this in my house in future! Would look magnificent in a converted barn.
