The Commandos Memorial, Spean Bridge, Scotland. During WWll Allied soldiers came to Spean Bridge for Commando training, which was part of Churchill's strategy to fight the Nazis all over Europe. The Allies who trained here were British, US Army Rangers, Canada, France, Netherlands, Czechs, Poland and Belguim. The memorial commemorates the supreme sacrifice of all Allied troops. Memorial erected at Spean Bridge, Scotland. This is where thousands of Allied Commandos trained during the Second World War. The setting for this memorial is truly incredible.
