THUMBS UP! Your gonna laugh at this one. So I decided to plant the Alaska Daisy a couple days ago, April 2012 on a sunny day. I started these from seed inside my home. I placed the pink glow ball in front where the deer come along in hopes they will not see the yummy greengage. I will keep you posted to see if it worked:)

I filled the gutters with Miracle Grow Garden Soil to about half full. I put in some time release fertilizer and added the other half of the soil (the extra fertilizer was needed because I knew that frequent watering would drain out the nutrients quickly)

Save the end from your lettuce and put into a little water (about a half inch). Change out the water every day. The lettuce will grow back incredibly quick too.    The one on the left i cut today. The middle one yesterday and the one on the right, the day before. You can see how much it grows in just two days!!    But don't feel limited to romaine. This technique can also be used with green onions and celery — from Addicted to Networking.
