"The Dragon And His Tail" painted by S/Sgt Sarkis Bartigan stationed on Ie Shima. He painted the Liberators of the 64th Squadron, 43rd Bomb Group (H), 5th Air Force. The last B-24 to be scrapped at Kingman after the war. The scrappers didn't want to destroy it, so they waited until it was the last plane, hoping someone would purchase it and save it before they got to it. No one did and it went to the smelters.
