Class rules posters: famous quotes

Get your students' attention with these unique back-to-school classroom rules posters. Each of the 6 posters include a quote from a famous person which relates to a classroom rule. $

Helmet Painting - Tell the students that today we're going to use our heads. For secondary: speed math/ trivia/ review/ students answer on white boards with markers on old hats/helmets/headbands

Holley Portraits - Giving students prompts for ideas (such as: I like, I adore, I am, I want to, I long for, I don't understand, I live for, I eat, My family is, etc.) This way, students as young as fifth grade can use the prompts from which to dive off. (for these I photocopied ALL of my students' thumbprints. I first enlarged them to 400% and then used that 400% copy and enlarged it 200% more. This is the perfect size for a 9x12 sheet of paper)

Quote wall in my classroom- throughout the school year my students and I hang quotes that are inspiring, funny, or that we discover in our reading. Sometimes student work makes it on the wall. At the end of the year each student got to choose something from the wall to take home and keep.
