In human genetics, Haplogroup G (M201) is a Y-chromosome haplogroup. It is a branch of Haplogroup F (M89). Haplogroup G has an overall low frequency in most populations but is widely distributed within many ethnic groups of the Old World in Europe (especially in alpine regions), Caucasus, South Asia, western and central Asia, and northern Africa.
In human genetics, Haplogroup H-M69 is a Y-chromosome haplogroup. This haplogroup is found at a high frequency in South Asia particularly H-M69 and H-M52. Outside South Asia H-M82 subgroup is a major paternal founding lineage of Romani people.
Ethnic Russian Population in Eastern Europe Putin justified the annexation of Crimea with the need to protect ethnic Russians. This line is now also being used as an endorsement of the escalating disturbances in the east of Ukraine. The whole theory is based on the premise that “Russian-speaking” is the same as “ethnic Russian”. However, the problem with this theory, is that language does not equal ethnicity.
