Hi (非) is an artist living and working in Japan. His digital paintings demonstrate remarkable skill, eerie portraits of androgynous male youths rendered in staggering detail and in a color palette that paradoxically seems at once vibrantly multi-colored and muted and muddied. Especially impressive are Hi's photorealistic collage-like additions (stickers, buttons, sequins, etc.), textural details that enrich his uncanny, extraordinary vision.
