British Robins ... can't beat them! Wherever I've lived there has always been a robin who has totally befriended me - and I've always named them "Tim" in honour of one of my fave authors Derek Tangye, who wrote about one in his books ♥ It's unusual to see two sitting together like this; despite their endearing image they are very aggressive little birds, and will fight to the death over their territory.

Cheddar Gorge in Somerset, England. In 1903 the remains of a human male, since named Cheddar Man were found a short distance inside Gough's cave, he is Britain's oldest complete human skeleton having been dated to approx. 7150 BCE. Mitochondrial DNA taken from the skeleton has been found to match that of Adrian Targett, a man living in the area today indicating that Cheddar Man is a very distant ancestor, amazing!

Whitby covered by snow, North Yorkshire, England. This is one of the most charming and quirky seaside towns I've ever been to in the UK. Don't forget to count the 199 steps up to the abbey that inspired Stoker's Dracula, and have a delicious nutella milkshake at Hippy Hippy's!
