If only we would let #Jesus ravish our hearts! If only we would see that the opportunity of our lives is to be Jesus’ beloved #disciple! Right now — at this very moment — the resurrected Christ is smiling at you and I! His arms are open to us. The glorious Lord Almighty is our friend and he is ready to teach us how to follow his example of #love.
It’s very difficult for pastors to say no to the needs of the people they care for and to the unending opportunities to do God’s work and grow their church. But if they don’t care for their own souls under God, respecting their personal limits and nurturing their own relationships with God and their family, then their ministry eventually collapses.
Truly affirming self-talk is joining in with what the Father, Son, and Spirit are already saying about you! Of course God reveals his love for us in the Bible. God also communicates through the Body of Christ and nature, always in ways that agree with Scripture.

To grow in a Christ-centered and God-saturated life we need to engage in soul talk with friends. Person-to-person bonding and heart-to-heart connections are the stuff of life. Without this we become depressed and anxious.
In stressful situations we may worry about what people think about us. Or maybe we get angry at ourselves or someone else. Or we can Abandon Outcomes to God. What’s done is done. I can’t control how people react to this and so I chose not to worry about it but to trust God.
