Ever since I can remember, I’ve been predisposed to saying “no” to social plans. If something isn’t within my comfort zone, I tend to avoid it. But there’s a problem: when you don’t experience new things, life can get boring. Mine had recently landed somewhere between extreme doldrums and “what’s it even matter what day of the week it is?”
Think of all the times you say “no” when you choose what you think is best for your health. All the “shouldn’t” or “can’t have’s” can get tiresome. Instead of fixating on “no,” focus on when you can say “yes.”
