EWTN.com - Luke 22: 35-38 I have encountered a Christian militia group on the net and they refer to Luke 22:35-38 as a call for christians to arm themselves. What is the Catholic interpretation of this scripture?
Pray for your husband... I think that if he is in the military to pray for his safety. If he is a Christian, pray for his witness and to have strong Christian men to fellowship with and to mentor each other.
Luke 23:34: Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” Could anything be more shocking and yet more beautiful than this prayer? Most Protestants would argue that the Bible is the inerrant, inspired word of God and that every word of the Bible is true in every way. Since God is truth and does not lie, why, they ask, would he slip stories into Scripture that were not factually, historically accurate in every way. The doctrine of eternal torment in Hell is a hoax. It is the result of pagan mythology, poor translation of the Hebrew and Greek manuscripts from which we get our modern English Bibles, 1700 years of tradition in the Christian church and misguided interpretations. It's an evil delusion that infects all of institutional orthodox Christendom and denies the love, mercy and purposes of Almighty God the Father and diminishes the redemptive work on the cross by Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, The Apostle’s creed states the nature of God simply. It is not a comprehensive definition of God, only a statement that we believe in God the Father. It is inherently Trinitarian and does need some explanation.
'nuff said....and it's BIBLICAL. Sola Scriptura is FALSE, knock off the pride of the error of self interpretation, it's already been translated by the Apostles and Early Church Fathers. St Jerome, "Father" of true the Latin Vulgate translation, pray for us!
