Eagles sit at the top of the food chain, making them more vulnerable to toxic chemicals in the environment, since each link in the food chain tends to concentrate chemicals from the lower link. Go to Lake Zoar Ct. to see these majestic birds nesting.
The Golden Eagle... The Golden Eagle is one of the best-known birds of prey in the Northern Hemisphere. It is the most widely distributed species of eagle. Like all eagles, it belongs to the family Accipitridae.
This is a fun craft to incorporate with the American Symbols lesson. Each student can make a bald eagle and put facts about it on the back. The teacher can hang up the eagles on the bulletin board to display the students work! Perhaps making other symbols to add to the board would be beneficial as well.
