Loudspeaker kits were very popular. This Speakerlab kit was typical. Notice the tweeter is a small Electrovoice T-35 hyperbolic horn tweeter, which was common in kit speakers of the early and mid 1970s.
Tannoy speakers like this one are coaxials, a tweeter is mounted underneath the acoustically-transparent dustcap dome; it's actually a grille for the tweeter. Tannoys were known for vivid, pinpoint stereo imaging because of their point source design. Some avoided coaxial speakers like Tannoy because they equated the design with mediocre coaxial car speakers. They missed out on great sound!
