this was a radio 4 book of the week and caught my attention- a young woman walks for a 100 days alone on the Pacific Crest Trail encountering bears and rattlesnakes- discovering herself in the process. I envy her sense of loss over her mother- to have loved and been loved to that extent. A very inspiring book.
