William Morris. He is widely regarded as the leader of the British Arts and Crafts movement even though the period was characterized by an assortment of artistic guilds comprised of likeminded socialistic artists. He was a Libertarian Socialist, an artist, poet, fantasy fiction writer, architect, and almost became a cleargyman. Morris founded the famous and prolific Kelmscott Press, the printer of ornate, lavishly detailed, and thoughtfully designed "illuminated style" books.
