Walls in the guest bedroom are Farrow & Ball "Light Blue"-Lori's go-to color. The headboard is upholstered in a Kravet raffia and dressed with a canopy and bed curtains in a bird-themed Ainsworth-Noah linen.
Designer Marie Flanigan layered this master bedroom with soft white furnishings and gold accents such as a canopy bed, tufted ottoman and traditional chandelier. As a result, the elegant setting is ideal for relaxing.
I think the floor looks too bare without a rug, but I do like the window treatments, the wall behind the bed & the wall color. See how the draperies on either side of the bed balance well being a one way draw.
Curtain rods hung from the ceiling to simulate a canopy bed. I hung our curtain rods from the ceiling in my living room at our B to give our ceilings more height. This is a great idea to add a canopy feel to one of our guest rooms without the footboard.
