He scored a hit in the cute, 1960's sitcom "I Dream of Jeannie" with Barbara Eden and then went on to play the beautifully evil JR Ewing in the long running, evening soap opera "Dallas" and it's reincarnation for three seasons ending in 2014 with his passing.
