Regina: 20 victims; one of 12 ships sunk with a combined crew loss of 255 in the Great Lakes Storm of 1913 – A cyclonic blizzard (inland hurricane) on the Great Lakes that occurred between 7 and 10 November 1913.
SS Hydrus: 25 victims. She was following the SS James Carruthers heading south on Lake Huron while carrying a load of iron ore when they were both caught in the Great Lakes Storm of 1913. Waves were said to be 35 feet high along with wind gusts of 90 mph. The James Carruthers was also lost in the storm.
