The edges are scalloped and embroidered with a light yellow thread. The embroidered in the center is all hand done. It has a floral, dot, and scroll motif. The scrolls are done in black thread. Arts & Crafts style Oak Trees Table Runner, Craftsman, Mission $275, via Etsy. Our "Trees" design worked in beautiful earth tone threads. Each tree is hand-painted (not stenciled) in tones of olive greens, golds and brown. Stitches used include the satin stitch, stem stitch and couching stitch. The valley floor is appliqued and is ready for the couching stitch. Pictured with a decorate stem stitched hem, which is easy even for the beginning stitcher. Finished dimensions are 14"Wx42"L.

Applique table scarf design from Stickley's Craftsman Workshops, early 1900s. Ginkgo Design. This was worked on flax canvas or linen. The applique was frequently done in deep leaf green applique, outlined and couched in a rich cream color, with the buds on the uprights stalks done in brilliant orange. Finished size 20"x72" or 20"x90".
