Gigi

Gigi. My second favorite movie of all time. For me, Maurice Chevalier walks away with the picture. Love Honoré Lachaille's observations throughout but especially love his rendition of "I'm Glad I'm Not Young Anymore" and his duet with Hermione Gingold, "I Remember It Well." *sigh*

Gordon Smith. Jacob's Ladder one of the UNSEEN demon makeups from the film. Quite possibly one of my favorite movie related sculptures of all time! The damn thing is a polyurethane elastomer no less!

What Dreams May Come - Rotten Tomatoes. Strangely compelling. I've seen this movie countless times, and I will see it countless times more.

When Harry Met Sally

"When Harry Met Sally" - Rob Reiner's touching, funny film set a new standard for romantic comedies, and he was ably abetted by the sharp interplay between Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan.

declaration of war - dir by valerie donzelli - story of young parents faced with a child who has a terrible illness, basically an American film, but done by the French, so it'll be less passe and more introspective.
