The Mellon Bank Center is located at 1735 Market Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was completed in 1990. This building was designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates and stands 792 feet tall with 54 floors. The Mellon Bank is the 3rd tallest building in Philadelphia.

Stephen Girard - After the charter for the First Bank of the United States expired in 1811, Girard purchased most of its stock as well as the building on South Third Street in Philadelphia. The bank merged with Mellon Bank in 1983, and was largely sold to Citizens Bank two decades later.
