In this post reader Bob Jordan walks us through a DIY one-piece, strobe modifier, which is kinda like a FlashBender. Which in turn kinda remind me of the Honl system (which also has a Honl DIY version).
Instead of just diffusing flash, or having a bounce card, the Spinlight 360 also encompasses the idea behind the black foamie thing – that it is all about the direction of light, not just how your flash’s light is dispersed from on top of your camera. More info on the Spinlight 360, and info on how to order one. > http://neilvn.com/tangents/about/spinlight-360/
DIY flashbender. Snoot, scoop, and reflector, in one portable package that takes up no additional space (folds around the strobe when packed up) I ended up buying the actual one: Flashbender Large. I haven't used it that much. Updates to follow.
