Judy Garland on Judy Garland | "It's going to be one hell of a great—everlastingly great—book with humor, tears, fun, emotion, and love," Judy Garland said of her plans to tell her life story. But she died at the age of forty-seven before seeing it through. By Randy L Schmidt, author of the best selling Karen Carpenter biography, Little Girl Blue

Starman (1984) - Jeff Bridges is charming and funny as a humanoid alien: truly heart-warming. Original movie poster. Science fiction comedy. http://scottgronmark.blogspot.co.uk/2016/03/my-alternative-to-american-film.html

Karen Carpenter and I go way back. I started listening to her in 6th grade, and have been hooked ever since.

I will use Karen Carpenter's death from Anorexia often, as a warning to others of just how deadly this disorder is-Her death is not only tragic because she was famous-It was the way she died, and how sudden and unexpectedly she died-At the time of her death, little was known about Anorexia in 1983.-She died of heart failure, even after going through recovery, she died after regainning weight, she died after she had convinced everyone else and herself, that she had beaten her illness

The Carpenters - this is a silly 70s photo of them, but Karen Carpenter had and still has one of the most beautiful voices ever - please go listen to their songs again. It's worth your time.

Céline Dion - My Heart Will Go On | We'll continue to mock this melodramatic cheese-fest, but like it or not, this song has gone down the history. Decades from now, perhaps she'll be appreciated as the Karen Carpenter of her generation.
