Instead of a unity candle... for a newly blended family

A beautiful addition to your wedding ceremony. The sand symbolizes two families becoming one as you and your children take turns pouring a portion of sand into the central jar. After the ceremony place the cover on the jar and keep as a keepsake.

For the family unity sand at our wedding we purchases silica sand, and coloured it ourselves! It was a family activity, (blended family). Each kid got to mix they're own colours using their own choice of amount of green food colouring and blue food colouring! $10 for a huge bag of silica sand! So much cheaper than buying the little coloured bags of sand, and the colours are so much nicer! Link to tutorial!
