Double-decker dome cars allow passengers to take in sights from multiple locations by stepping onto an outdoor balcony or settling in to a seat on the upper level’s interior space. San Diego Cruise Ship Terminal. Nine cruise lines serve San Diego, including four seasonally homeported lines — Holland America, Celebrity, Carnival and Royal Caribbean. Primarily, they offer cruise experiences to coastal California, the Mexican Riviera and Baja California with highlight destinations such as Ensenada, Cabo San Lucas, La Paz and Mazatlan, among others. The Port is also the starting point for a smaller number of cruises to Hawaii, Alaska and through the Panama Canal. #sandiego
